GRI e-Pro The first thing to consider in contemplating the sale of your home is price. Now some people will base the value of their home on a recently done mortgage appraisal. This is starting to really become a problem, as some of the recent mortgage appraisals I have seen, lead me to believe that banks are lending money based on a homeowners ability to pay, rather than the true value of a home. I would suggest hiring an independent appraiser or have a experienced local real estate agent prepare a CMA (Comparable Market Analysis) and make sure either one will provide you with information on the previously sold homes that they used to arrive at the pricing of your home. Over pricing your home is one of the worst things you can do. The longer your home stays on the market, the greater the risk of receiving less than its true market value. [NEXT]
